Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar met today with Hisham Mehran, CEO and Managing Director of Orange Egypt, and his delegation at the ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital to discuss joint cooperation in advancing Egypt’s digital health system.
According to ministry spokesperson Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the meeting focused on collaboration in digital transformation to support the national digital health strategy. The minister emphasized the importance of strengthening technical capacities and ensuring sustainability of the digital system. Orange Egypt presented its proposed cooperation plan during the session.
Discussions also addressed ways to digitize the current health insurance system, which holds a vast patient database, in order to facilitate the rollout of Egypt’s comprehensive health insurance scheme in the future.
The meeting underscored Egypt’s commitment to building a robust, integrated digital health ecosystem through public–private partnerships.
