Egypt’s Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar met with Lars Bo Müller, Ambassador of Denmark to Egypt, along with a delegation of leading Danish healthcare companies and institutions. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the fifth edition of the Africa Health ExCon, held under the theme “Health Sovereignty in Africa: Leadership, Resilience, and Self-Reliance,” under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
According to Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, official spokesperson for the Ministry, discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in priority health areas, particularly medical technology, digital transformation, and service development. The talks also addressed mechanisms to strengthen partnerships between health institutions in both countries, encourage Danish investment in Egypt’s healthcare sector, and explore opportunities for knowledge transfer, technology localization, and support for local manufacturing of medical products and solutions.
Ambassador Müller expressed Denmark’s commitment to expanding cooperation with Egypt in the health sector, praising the significant progress achieved in Egypt’s healthcare system and voicing his country’s eagerness to establish fruitful partnerships that serve the mutual interests of both nations.
