Egypt’s Health and Population Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar received World Bank’s Regional Director for Human Development covering the Middle East and North Africa region Keiko Miwa along with her accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways of boosting co-operation in the health sector.
The minister, meanwhile, welcomed the WB delegation, lauding co-operation with the WB in several development projects in the medical field with the Health and Population Ministry, with the aim of upgrading health services provided to the citizens.
The meeting also tackled ways of broadening aspects of co-operation in family health development sphere through the programmes which are implemented by the ministry, said Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar.
The minister further tackled the upcoming plans for co-operation between the National Population Council (NPC) and the WB, added the spokesman.
The spokesman also said that the meeting discussed ways to support the comprehensive health insurance system in the various governorates.
Ways to support the “Decent Life” presidential initiative were also discussed during the meeting, added the spokesman.
