CAIRO – Egypt’s Health and Population Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar had talks with a delegation of the Turkish Transplantation Society on boosting bilateral cooperation and exchanging expertise in the field of organ transplantation.
Spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said that the minister welcomed members of the Turkish Transplantation Society, which groups specialists in critical care, nursing, kidney and liver diseases and organ transplant surgeons.
The minister reviewed with the delegation Egypt’s considerable experience in the field of liver and kidney transplantation and its great success in this domain, the spokesman said.
He also stressed the need to exchange expertise between the Egyptian and Turkish sides, as Turkey is one of the leading countries in this field at the European level, the spokesman added.
