AMMAN – Head of the Educational Committee at the Jordanian House of Representatives Bilal Al Momani lauded on Sunday Egyptian-Jordanian relations in the different domains and towards Arab issues, atop of which is the Palestinian issue.
Speaking to MENA on the sidelines of the third educational forum here, Momani stressed that harmony and integration in Egyptian-Jordanian relations have aborted attempts to liquidate the Palestinian issue and force Palestinians out of their lands either to Jordan or Egypt.
Both Egypt and Jordan consider the Palestinian issue a core issue and they adopt a decisive stance during the current Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and the genocide committed against Gazans, he added.
He reiterated rejection of attempts to cast doubts in the Egyptian and Jordanian stance, saying such attempts harm the Palestinian issue. Both Cairo and Amman are working for the Palestinian issue and for regaining legitimate Palestinian rights, including their right to set up an independent state with east Jerusalem as its capital.
As for cooperation between the two countries in the educational domain, he said there is high-level cooperation and coordination between the two sides, stressing that large numbers of Egyptians are studying in Jordanian universities and vice versa.
