Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Hussein Issa held an extensive meeting with the board of the Egyptian Investors Union, chaired by Moharram Hilal, to discuss ways of supporting investment activity and strengthening the role of the private sector in driving economic development.
Issa emphasized the government’s commitment to maintaining direct and regular dialogue with business organizations and investors, describing them as key partners in Egypt’s development efforts. He underlined the importance of listening to their views, addressing challenges, and continuously working to improve the competitiveness and attractiveness of the investment climate.
The meeting reviewed several economic and investment issues, exploring mechanisms to boost private sector participation across industries. Union members presented proposals in areas including manufacturing, tourism and hospitality, digital transformation, technical education, and small enterprises, alongside measures to improve the overall investment environment.
Discussions also touched on the role of the ministerial group for entrepreneurship in supporting startups, fostering innovation, and creating jobs, thereby enhancing the contribution of entrepreneurs to the national economy.
Union members expressed appreciation for the government’s approach, noting that this engagement reflects a genuine commitment to empowering the private sector, deepening dialogue with business leaders, and promoting investment as a driver of growth.
