CAIRO – A number of heads of global gold mining companies commended the tangible progress seen in the mining industry in Egypt.
They asserted reforms and measures adopted by the Egyptian government have mainly contributed to encouraging several companies to invest in Egypt in the gold mining sector.
The chairmen of the companies were speaking at the opening session of the 2022 Egypt Mining Forum on Monday.
The forum is Egypt’s premier mining, minerals and commodities event taking place at the Sky Executive Resort in Cairo.
Participants said the Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ministry is keen on removing any obstacles impeding investments in the Egyptian market.
The event brings together key regional stakeholders, international mining companies, and investors who are looking to do business in Egypt and North Africa.
