Gov’t denies reducing load on electric networks in Ramadan

The Cabinet’s Media Centre denied reports about reducing the load on electric networks during the holy fasting month of Ramadan.

In a statement Tuesday, the media center said it communicated with the Electricity and Renewable Energy Ministry which totally denied these reports, asserting that they are baseless and bare of truth.

The State has successfully managed to increase the efficiency of power stations in order to cover local consumption needs, to avoid having rotating power outages or reducing network loads, added the statement.

Emergency teams are available around the clock in order to deal with any problem, added the statement.

The center, meanwhile, urged all media outlets to seek accuracy and objectivity before publishing news, advising them to contact the official bodies concerned for any information they want to get so as to avoid publishing fake news and sparking discontent among the public.
