Gov. denies sending messages to irregular workers to update their data and collect symbolic fees

The Egyptian Cabinet Media Center has dismissed as groundless reports that the Ministry of Manpower sent messages to irregular workers to update their data and collect symbolic fees in preparation for disbursing a new benefit of EGP 500.
The center said in a statement Monday it contacted the ministry which denied the news as baseless, pointing out that such rumor mongers do not belong the ministry and that they seek to get the data of citizens to deceive them.
