CAIRO – The Cabinet media centre has dismissed as groundless reports that the New Administrative Capital projects are confined to the government district only.
In a statement Tuesday, the centre said it contacted the new capital company which described the reports as bare of truth, pointing out that videos that appeared on the social media have nothing to do with the issue.
It added the new capital project is one of the most important development projects established in line with the most cutting-edge technologies and aims at founding integrated facilities offering administrative, economic and housing services for citizens.
It pointed out that the new capital is expected to accommodate 2 million people in the first phase as the city enjoys strong information infrastructure with modern technologies in terms of communications and information technology.
