The Decent Life Foundation has launched a campaign, ‘Goodness has arrived’. Food will be distributed to people in need nationwide as the holy fasting month of Ramadan approaches.
The campaign comes in response to directives from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
‘Goodness has arrived’ is part of the ‘Million Cartons’ drive, a Decent Life press release said on Tuesday.
Foundation’s monitoring teams and volunteers across the nation have started preparing food shipments for distribution over the coming days.
The first phase will cover five governorates: Beheira, Beni Sueif, Kafr el-Sheikh, el-Menya and Sharqyia.
The drive, prompted by the Decent Life Foundation’s belief in its social role towards the neediest members of society, is in coordination with the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, which includes a number of Egyptian civil society organisations.
Over the past few days, Decent Life launched a food aid convoy, the biggest of its kind, which gave out 200,000 cartons in Gharbiya Governorate, West Delta.
