Head of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service Abbas Kamel arrived on Thursday in Benghazi as part of his current visit to Libya.
Kamel is due to meet with Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, commander-in-chief of the Libyan National Army.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has praised the efforts of the Libyan National Army to achieve stability and combat terrorism.
He also stressed the vital role of the Libyan military institution in protecting the capabilities of the Libyan people.
