CAIRO – The German Embassy in Cairo congratulated on Friday record seven-time African champions Egypt for reaching the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final.
Egypt beat host Cameroon 3-1 on penalties at the end of a goalless 120 minutes in Yaoundé
on Thursday.
On its Facebook page, the embassy extended its sincere congratulations to all Egyptians on advancing to the AFCON final.
On Sunday, the Egyptian Pharaohs will face Senegal “Teranga Lions”. Egypt is seeking to win the title of the Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) for the eighth time.
Egypt won an unprecedented three consecutive titles in 2006, 2008, and 2010.
