CAIRO – French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné Sunday said that he was keen on visiting Egypt, “France’s strategic partner”, on the first leg of his current Middle East tour.
“In my first visit to the Middle East, I was keen on heading to Egypt, which is a strategic partner for France,” Séjourné wrote in his X account.
“During my meeting with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, I reiterated our commitment to reaching a ceasefire in Gaza for humanitarian reasons as well as reviving a political solution towards the two-state solution.”
