Egypt has condemned the terrorist attack that occurred in the Iraqi province of Kirkuk which left a number of people dead and wounded.
A statement issued by the Foreign Ministry expressed condolences and sympathy with the government and people of Iraq, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
It affirmed Egypt’s solidarity and support to Iraq in the face of terrorism, pointing out that such despicable acts will only increase Iraq’s insistence on defeating terrorism.
Iraqi security sources had said at least eight Iraqi federal policemen were killed on Sunday when a bomb struck their convoy southwest of the oil-rich Iraqi province.
