Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has visited “La Maison d’Égypte” in la Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, on the fringe of his current visit to the French capital.
Shoukry will take part in a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and a number of Arab foreign ministers regarding the developments in the Gaza strip, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zied said on Saturday.
The foreign minister inspected the pavilions of the “La Maidon d’Égypte” which is dedicated to Egyptian students enrolled at French universities and institutions. He got posted on facility as well as its studying halls.
Shoukry was keen on having chats with Egyptian students in France to get first hand information about their needs and means of fostering communication with their homeland, the spokesman said.
He added that the foreign minister met with staffers of the Egyptian embassy and consulate in Paris.
Egypt’s candidate Dr. Khaled el Enany for the post of director-general of the UN Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for the term 2025-2029 has witnessed Shoukry’s visit to la Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris.
