Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed during a meeting with Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs Najla Al-Mankush the latest development on the Libyan arena.
The meeting was held on the fringes of the extraordinary session of the Arab League Council in the Qatar capital Doha to discuss the Ethiopian Grand Renaissance Dam (GERD).
The two sides stressed the importance of pushing forward steps and agreed-upon measures as part of the political process in Libya including holding elections before the end of this year.
Shoukry invited the Libyan top diplomat to visit Egypt in the coming days as part of Cairo’s keenness on offering all kinds of support to the new Libyan government.
