Acting on directives from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Co‑operation, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty, together with the Chairman of the Administrative Capital for Urban Development Company (ACUD), led a tour for accredited African ambassadors in Egypt on Thursday.
The visit aimed to showcase the integrated urban and institutional development of the New Administrative Capital, highlighting modern infrastructure, advanced facilities and services. The ambassadors were briefed on the ongoing arrangements for relocating embassies and missions to the diplomatic quarter, and toured the government district, residential units, UN headquarters, Wykham Abbey School, and the African Export‑Import Bank.
The Minister stressed Egypt’s commitment to providing all necessary facilities for foreign missions, noting that the diplomatic quarter was designed to international standards to ensure a modern working environment. Options for purchasing or leasing premises were presented under the principle of reciprocity.
The ACUD Chairman outlined ongoing measures to support the relocation of foreign missions, emphasising continued co‑ordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure readiness of the diplomatic district.
