Flydubai has announced the launch of direct flights to Benghazi in Libya, becoming the first national airline to operate direct services between Dubai and Benghazi Benina International Airport.
The flights will start on June 17, operating from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport, with three weekly flights.
The new route will strengthen air connectivity between the UAE and Libya, and will also provide passengers from Benghazi with easy access to Flydubai’s growing network via its Dubai hub. Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of Flydubai, said that launching flights to Libya is an important step in the airline’s network expansion strategy and reflects its commitment to opening new markets that were previously underserved.
With the addition of Benghazi, Flydubai’s network in East and North Africa expands to 13 destinations, highlighting its continued focus on market growth.
