Egypt’s Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk has announced the trial launch of the ministry’s new website, in Arabic and English.
The site is part of an integrated programme to enhance digital and media communication with citizens and investors, provide clearer and more transparent access to financial information and data, expand online services and make them easier to access, a ministry statement revealed.
The ministry aims to offer a smoother and more interactive digital experience through a modern design aligned with its visual identity, Kouchouk said.
The website is designed to work efficiently on mobile phones, computers and tablets, with improved performance speeds, enhanced data security and interactive, simplified financial information that is easier to find through search engines, he added.
These features are intended to promote transparency and raise citizens’ economic and financial awareness.
The website has been electronically linked to the ministry’s affiliated departments, authorities and agencies to improve the integration of information and services and facilitate access to them, the minister explained.
It also features a platform for direct interaction with citizens and investors, enabling them to submit suggestions, complaints and enquiries and receive responses, thereby improving communication and speeding up responses.
Kouchouk added that the ministry is developing a new mobile application to expand its digital services and make them easier to access, while also providing convenient access to information and services via mobile phones.
He noted that additional services would be introduced on the website in the coming period, alongside further work to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities.
The launch of the new website marks an important step towards developing the ministry’s digital and media communication with citizens and investors and building a more open and interactive institutional communication system, Kouchouk said.
He stressed that citizens and investors were at the heart of the ministry’s priorities and should be treated as genuine partners, adding that all services provided to them must be improved and delivered in a simple, modern way.
The minister also underlined the importance of taking users’ feedback into account during the trial phase to improve the user experience and enhance the quality of services.
