Egypt’s Finance Minister Mohamed Maait said the ministry is going ahead with implementing presidential directives about maximising governance efforts of the state’s financial system.
The move is meant to raise efficiency of public spending and make use of the state’s resources to achieve financial monitoring, he added in a statement Wednesday.
Maait said the application of taxation and customs digital systems will help attain integration among the tax and customs authorities to boost governance of exports and imports.
