Head of the European Union Delegation to Egypt and the Arab League, Ambassador Angelina Eichhorst, on Thursday commended Egypt’s sustained diplomatic efforts in addressing regional crises and promoting stability.
She highlighted Egypt’s pivotal role in bridging differences and fostering dialogue, noting its active engagement in efforts aimed at reaching peaceful resolutions to ongoing tensions, including those between the United States and Iran, as well as between Pakistan and Türkiye, the Cabinet said in a statement.
Ambassador Eichhorst further underscored Egypt’s instrumental contribution to securing a ceasefire in Gaza, affirming that Egypt continues to play a central role in advancing and implementing the Gaza peace plan agreed upon in Sharm el-Sheikh.
She stressed that these efforts reflect Egypt’s consistent commitment to de-escalation, conflict resolution, and the promotion of regional peace and security.
