Egyptian Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad has stressed that the ministry encourages all governmental and NGOs institutions to launch initiatives and innovations for better green future.
The minister’s remarks came on Thursday during a meeting to ink a Memorandum of Understanding between the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA), the Industrial Modernisation Centre (IMC) and the association for sustainable quality of living (Estidama) to offer an award on countering the negative effects of climate change in Africa.
Such an award will be given as part of Egypt’s preparations for hosting the UN Climate Change Conference (COP27) in the Red Sea resort of Sharm El Sheikh in November.
The award will be granted in four domains; including climate change technologies and green growth of small and micro enterprises.
