Egypt’s Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad announced on Sunday finalizing the installation of the first station for instant monitoring of noise levels in the Upper Egypt governorate of Menya.
This is the third station of its kind to be installed in the Upper Egypt, she said.
She added that the two other stations were set up in Fayyoum and Beni Suef, noting that this falls within the framework of the government’s plan to implement indices and targets of the environmental dimension of the 2030 Sustainable Development Strategy.
The number of stations for monitoring noise levels reached 40 nationwide.
