CAIRO – Egypt’s Environment Minister Yassmin Fouad advised elderly people as well as respiratory disease patients and children nationwide to stay indoors and avoid outdoor activities on Sunday due to poor air quality.
Based on reports by the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) as well as the ministry’s early warning system, dust storms are expected to affect an area stretching from the country’s north to northern Upper Egypt on Sunday, the Environment Ministry said in a statement.
The dust storms are expected to negatively affect air quality, the ministry added.
