President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi attended on Thursday the graduation ceremony of the 6h training course for judicial authorities, which the Ministry of Justice organised at the Egyptian Military Academy in the New Capital.

The ceremony was held at the Safwa Hall of the Strategic Command headquarters and was attended by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Defence Minister Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Justice Minister Mahmoud Helmy El-Sherif and Egyptian Military Academy Director Major General Mohamed Salah El-Torky.

A total of 1,350 participants graduated from the course.

The ceremony featured a documentary on the academy’s training programmes and the training provided to members of the judicial authorities.

In remarks to the graduates, President Sisi stressed that the academy’s training programmes aim to establish unified and objective standards for selecting and preparing young people for positions in state institutions.

The goal is not to militarise the state, but to promote co-operation and a deeper understanding among its institution, he said, adding that genuine institutional reform requires a serious and sustained process and called for preserving objective selection standards.

The programmes also aim to boost young people’s awareness of the importance of protecting state institutions and developing qualified professionals with balanced personalities and strong values, the president said.

He urged state institutions to follow up with graduates to ensure the training achieves its goals.

The president congratulated the graduates and urged them to use social media responsibly. He also called for measures to protect children under 15 from the misuse of social media.
