Egypt’s trade with BRICS countries reached 36.7 billion dollars in the first half of 2026, up 25.5 per cent from 29.3 billion dollars during the same period in 2025.
This is according to recent official data from Egypt’s Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS).
The figures highlight the growing role of BRICS countries in Egypt’s international economic relations, as reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Egypt’s exports to BRICS countries amounted to 6.6 billion dollars during the first half of 2026.
The UAE was one of the largest destinations, receiving 1.7 billion dollars’ worth of Egyptian goods.
Exports to India reached 868 million US dollars, while China and Brazil accounted for 841 million dollars and 633 million dollars respectively.
Precious stones, jewelry and related products were Egypt’s leading export category to BRICS markets, valued at 1.2 billion dollars.
