BERLIN – Egyptian Tennis Player Mayar Sherif on Thursday qualified for the quarter-finals of the Karlsruhe Open Tennis Championship, which kicked off in Germany on May 9.
The World No. 62 made her way into the quarter-finals after defeating Brazil’s World No. 125 Laura Pigossi 6-2 and 6-2.
In the next round, Sherif would play against Hungary’s World No. 84 Panna Udvardy.
In the women’s doubles, Sherif and Udvardy would face rivals from Belgium and Poland in the tournament’s semi-finals on Friday.
The championship will wrap up on Sunday.
