Sphinx International Airport received the first flight operated by the leading low cost Saudi airline, Flynas, on Friday.
Departing from Jeddah, the flight was carrying 114 passengers.
This makes the airport Flynas’s fifth destination in Egypt as it moves forward with its expansion plans in the Egyptian market.
Earlier, Flynas said it would start operating flights from Jeddah to Sphinx International Airport from June 16 with three weekly direct flights, and from Riyadh starting July 1 with three weekly direct flights.
