Egypt’s Minister of State for Military Production, Salah Gamblat, has ordered an expansion of industrial co-operation and faster project delivery to boost national development and strengthen local manufacturing.
Speaking during a videoconference on Saturday with the chairs of affiliated companies and units, the Minister reviewed the progress of ongoing projects and assessed implementation rates across the ministry’s entities.
During the meeting, the minister emphasised the need to deepen ties with the private sector and expand investment partnerships.
This strategy aims to fully utilise the technical, technological, and human capabilities within military production companies to increase capacity, enhance operational efficiency, and drive economic growth.
He also stressed the importance of existing partnerships with technology transfer and joint-manufacturing firms, noting their crucial role in localising advanced technologies, deepening local production, and reducing reliance on imports.
The Minister directed that all ongoing projects be completed on schedule, urging continuous monitoring to quickly resolve any execution bottlenecks.
Discipline in project delivery, he noted, remains vital to achieving modernisation goals.According to a ministry statement, the meeting also highlighted the need to expand investment in research and development (R&D) across all affiliated firms.
