An official delegation from the Armed Forces Sports Authority welcomed athletes from the military sports institutions upon their return to Egypt after successful participation in the African Boxing Championship in Kenya.
The Egyptian team included three athletes representing the Military Sports Institutions, who competed as members of the national boxing team. Nabila Alaa El-Din Hassan, representing the Military Sports Institution in Suez, won the gold medal in the 75kg category.
Omar El-Sayed Ragab El-Awadi, from the Military Sports Institution in Minya, claimed silver in the same weight category.
Meanwhile, Abdel-Fattah Hisham Abdel-Fattah, also representing the Minya institution, secured bronze in the 65kg category and received the Best Athlete award.
The Armed Forces General Command issued a statement congratulating the athletes on their achievements, which add to Egypt’s record in international sporting competitions. It also reaffirmed its commitment to providing full support to athletes at the Military Sports Institutions to help them continue representing Egypt at regional and international competitions.
