The largest and most significant electronic tourist booking platform in the Polish market, Wakacje.pl, held its annual conference in Marsa Alam, a city in the Red Sea Governorate.
The event was organised under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion.
The city of Marsa Alam was selected to host this conference because it is a very popular Egyptian tourist destination, especially in the Polish market.
A delegation, led by Mr. Dariusz Górzny, Chairman of the Board of Directors, participated in the conference. It also included top 350 tourist agents selected based on their sales over the past year.
Amr El-Kady, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, emphasised the significance of the Polish market for Egyptian tourism.
“Poland is considered one of the essential target and export markets for tourism to Egyptian destinations,” he said.
He also emphasised the importance of training and equipping representatives of sales offices in the Polish market with the latest developments in the tourism sector in Egypt.
El-Kady highlighted the advantages of choosing Egypt as a tourist destination, which gives it a competitive edge over other popular destinations around the world.
“The Polish tourists’ trust in the Egyptian tourism industry has been highlighted along with the efforts made by the state to promote it,” he said.
One of the key aspects of boosting tourism in Egypt is developing the necessary infrastructure, especially in popular tourist destinations.
“This involves enhancing the transportation network to facilitate the movement of tourists between cities, as well as connecting cultural and beach destinations. These initiatives aim to provide a unique and unforgettable experience for tourists visiting Egypt,” he added.
A tourism programme was organised for the delegation during the conference.
They explored Luxor’s tourist and archaeological attractions and enjoyed marine activities and safari trips in Marsa Alam.
