Egypt’s Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, said on Friday that developing the healthcare system requires greater co-operation and integration among healthcare institutions, universities and scientific councils to ensure that scientific research is effectively translated into clinical practice.
The minister made the remarks during the closing ceremony of the Second Annual Scientific Conference of Wadi El-Nil Hospital, describing the event as an important platform for exchanging expertise and advancing evidence-based medical practice.
Abdel Ghaffar said the conference’s diverse sessions, covering a wide range of medical specialities, highlighted the importance of integrated patient care throughout the treatment journey. Such an approach, he noted, directly contributes to improving healthcare quality and enhancing patient safety.
Meanwhile, Helmy El-Ghawabi, Conference President and Director General of Wadi El-Nil Hospital, said more than 2,000 physicians registered for the event, while 163 professors, scientists and experts participated in its activities. He attributed the conference’s success to the collective efforts of participants and supporters.
