The Food Export Council has reported that Egyptian food industry exports reached $3.77 billion between January and June 2026 – the highest halfyear value in the sector’s history, compared to $3.41 billion in the same period of 2025.
Arab countries remained the largest destination, importing $1.737 billion worth of Egyptian products, up from $1.588 billion last year, marking growth of 9.4 per cent.
Arab markets accounted for 46 per cent of total food exports, underscoring their central role in Egypt’s trade structure and sustained demand for Egyptian goods.
