Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aati participated on Tuesday in a panel discussion titled “Global Market Resilience” during the International Partnerships Conference held in London.

In his remarks, Abdel-Aati outlined Egypt’s vision for strengthening the resilience of global labor markets, stressing that employment and workforce development are central to sustainable growth and social stability. He emphasized that job creation remains a top priority in Egypt’s economic strategy, particularly given the country’s large youth population.

The minister highlighted Egypt’s recent economic and structural reforms, noting their role in stabilizing financial and monetary conditions, improving the investment climate, and advancing social protection programs. He underscored the government’s commitment to comprehensive reform and pointed to the private sector as the main driver of economic growth.

Abdel-Aati explained that Egypt is implementing wide-ranging measures to simplify procedures, expand incentives, and enhance the role of private enterprise in line with the State Ownership Policy Document.

He added that these reforms have boosted investor confidence, increased private sector participation, and generated more interest in Egypt’s investment opportunities. Abdel-Aati also addressed the impact of regional military escalation on global labor markets, citing rising energy, fertilizer, and food prices. He called for stronger international cooperation to safeguard global economic stability and help labor markets adapt to rapidly changing conditions.
