Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), Ali El-Ghamrawy, welcomed on Thursday delegation from the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC), led by Abdullah Bin Arshid, Regional Director for the Gulf and Middle East.
The visit marks a significant step toward enhancing co-operation and exchanging expertise in the fields of quality assurance and accreditation, in line with international best practices and standards. Senior EDA officials attended the meeting.
Discussions between the two sieds focused on ACHC’s role in accrediting healthcare facilities and pharmacies, as well as mechanisms and procedures for granting accreditation.
They also highlighted the requirements for quality, safety, and compliance with global standards, and exchanged views on the international practices in developing pharmaceutical services and strengthening quality systems.
The meeting underscored EDA’s commitment to advancing healthcare services in Egypt by adopting rigorous accreditation frameworks.
By collaborating with ACHC, the authority aims to elevate service standards, ensure efficiency, and reinforce patient safety.
This partnership is expected to support Egypt’s broader efforts to modernise its pharmaceutical sector and align with global benchmarks, ultimately benefiting citizens through improved healthcare delivery.
