British Ambassador in Cairo Gareth Bayley said Friday that the Egyptian vaccination certificates against the coronavirus are now recognized in the UK.
“Egyptian vaccination certificates are now recognized in the UK for those wishing to travel from Egypt,” Bayley posted on his Twitter account.
In a recorded message on his Twitter account, the British ambassador said as of Monday, October 11, those coming from Egypt will no longer have to self-isolate or quarantine when arriving in the UK, nor do they need to take a PCR test before leaving to the UK.
People coming from Egypt will need to have a complete course of either AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson vaccines at least 14 days before arriving in the UK, he added, according to MENA.
“You will still have to complete a passenger locator form 48 hours before your flight departure, and book a date to PCR test to be taken after arriving in the UK,” he further said.
