CAIRO – Egyptian star Amir EL Masry’s ‘Limbo’ movie is long-listed for BAFTA 2021 films awards.
El-Masry was earlier nominated for the British Independent Film ‘Best Actor’ Award.
In the movie, El Masry plays the role of Omar who lives in a house in a Scottish town with three other refugees all waiting for responses to their asylum requests.
Limbo won three awards at Cairo International Film Festival that was held in December 2020. It also won the Best Film Award at the International Film Festival & Awards Macao (IFFAM) and Youth Jury Award at the San Sebastián International Film Festival.
