As part of the Armed Forces’ commitment to strengthening military co-operation with counterparts from brotherly and friendly nations, elements of the Egyptian Ranger (Saaka) Forces and Italian Special Forces conducted the joint exercise “IT-EGY-T-4.”
Focused on combat operations in mountainous terrain, the exercise took place over several days in Italy.
The activities included a range of tactical and specialised drills, such as safe movement techniques in mountainous areas and navigating rugged terrain.
Training also covered mountaineering skills and rapid descent (rappelling) from heights under unconventional environmental and weather conditions, as well as first aid and medical evacuation procedures for various emergency scenarios.
The exercise aims to facilitate the exchange of expertise, hone combat and specialised skills, and elevate the proficiency and readiness of participating personnel to execute specialised missions with competence and capability.
