Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Saturday said that the government has prepared a comprehensive plan for Gaza early recovery and rebuilding without the displacement of the Palestinians throughout the reconstruction process.

Madbouli made the remarks during a meeting with visiting Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa at the Cabinet’s headquarters to discuss the Gaza early recovery and rebuilding plan that will be presented at the Arab Summit.

The meeting was attended by Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Expatriates Affairs Badr Abdelatty, Palestinian Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Wael Zagout and Palestinian Ambassador in Cairo Diab Allouh.

Madbouli reaffirmed Egypt’s unwavering support to Palestinians and their legitimate rights, in particular the right of self-determination and having an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 1967, with East Jerusalem (Al Quds) as its capital.

Egypt is exerting utmost effort to support the Palestinian cause and people, through maintaining efforts aimed at ensuring the implement the three-phased ceasefire agreement and the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, the premier said

Meanwhile, the Palestinian prime minister Mustafa commended the Egyptian efforts that aim to support the Palestinian people, according to Cabinet Spokesman Counselor Mohamed el Homosany.

Mustafa praised efforts of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to support legitimate Palestinian rights and the reconstruction efforts in the Gaza Strip. He also hailed efforts made by all Egyptian state institutions in this regard, the spokesman said.

The meeting discussed coordination efforts between the Egyptian and Palestinian sides to follow up on finalization of the reconstruction plan, in preparation for submitting it to the urgent Arab summit scheduled to take place on Tuesday, the spokesman added.

The meeting also tackled coordinating with international humanitarian organizations to contribute to early recovery and reconstruction efforts in the Gaza Strip, the spokesman went on to say.
