Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdel-Aati held a phone call on Monday with his Greek counterpart, George Gerapetritis, to discuss bilateral relations and the latest regional developments.
The two ministers welcomed the growing momentum in Egyptian-Greek relations, underpinned by the strategic partnership between the two countries.
They reaffirmed their commitment to building on recent high-level exchanges to deepen political and economic cooperation.
Abdel-Aati reviewed Egypt’s intensive diplomatic efforts to promote de-escalation and contain rising regional tensions.
He reiterated Cairo’s support for resolving the current crisis through dialogue and diplomatic means to help preserve regional peace and stability.
The ministers agreed to maintain close coordination and consultations under the strategic partnership framework and to support ongoing regional and international efforts aimed at reducing tensions and preventing further escalation.
