Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held on Wednesday a session of talks with his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian on the fringe of the UN General Assembly meetings in New York.
The meeting took up boosting strategic relations binding both countries, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Hafez said.
Top priority regional and international files were also discussed during the meeting, added the spokesman.
The talks come within the framework of the intensified meetings that Shouklry is holding during his current visit to New York.
The foreign minister participated on Tuesday in the opening of the high-level segment of the UNGA meetings.
