Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi lauded the robust and deepening collaboration between Egypt and France within the vital transportation sector during a significant joint visit with French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday.

The two leaders toured the Adly Mansour Central Interchange Station, a key infrastructure hub poised to serve millions of Egyptian commuters. During the visit, President Sisi expressed his profound appreciation for the instrumental role played by numerous French companies in the execution of critical transportation projects across Egypt.

The presidential spokesperson conveyed President Sisi’s recognition of the expertise and contribution of French firms in advancing Egypt’s transportation network. The two presidents meticulously inspected the state-of-the-art facilities and services offered at the Adly Mansour Interchange, underscoring the tangible benefits these projects will bring to the daily lives of Egyptian citizens. Their itinerary also included a comprehensive tour of the third line of the Cairo Metro, a testament to the ongoing modernization efforts in the capital’s public transit system.

Furthermore, the spokesperson emphasized Egypt’s unwavering commitment to fostering the localization of transportation-related industries. This strategic focus aims to progressively increase the proportion of locally manufactured components integrated into ongoing and future projects. President Sisi stressed the imperative of adhering to stringent timelines for the completion of these crucial infrastructure developments.

In response, President Macron conveyed his profound admiration for the significant advancements witnessed within Egypt’s transportation sector. He commended the ambitious modernization and development initiatives undertaken in both infrastructure and transportation domains. President Macron reaffirmed France’s strong interest and commitment to actively participate in future development projects within Egypt, signaling a continued partnership in this strategically important area.

This high-level visit underscores the deepening strategic alliance between Egypt and France, with the transportation sector emerging as a prominent area of successful cooperation and mutual benefit. The shared commitment to infrastructure development promises to enhance connectivity, stimulate economic growth, and improve the quality of life for the Egyptian people.
