‏The signing ceremony was attended by Engineer Yehia Zakaria, Chairman and CEO of EgyptAir Holding Company, and Christian Scherer, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Airbus.

‏Once added to the company’s fleet, the Airbus A350-900 aircraft would contribute to rationalising fuel consumption by 25 per cent, thus reducing carbon emissions resulting from flights, the statement said.

‏It added that passengers on board these aircraft also enjoy the best travel experiences thanks to the distinctive Airbus “AirSpace” cabin, which provides spacious luggage spaces, and other amenities.

‏In this regard, Eng Zakaria said, “We are keen to take concrete steps to advance the civil aviation sector, through developing EgyptAir fleet and providing it with the latest aircraft available on the market, foremost of which is the Airbus aircraft, which has a capacity of 340 seats and is equipped with the latest technology, in addition to the new Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines, known for their modern design and high efficiency in reducing emissions and rationalising fuel consumption”.
