EgyptAir Maintenance and Engineering has achieved a milestone by securing the AS9110 international quality certification for the first time.

This accreditation follows a rigorous inspection of all company facilities and departments by an international awarding body.

The certification marks a significant addition to the company’s growing record of global achievements and reinforces its standing in the aviation industry.

The AS9110 standard is a globally recognised quality management benchmark specifically designed for aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) organisations.

By meeting these strict requirements, EgyptAir proves its adherence to the absolute highest standards of safety, quality, and reliability.

During the evaluation, international inspectors highly praised the technical competence, advanced capabilities, and exceptional expertise demonstrated by EgyptAir’s workforce.

Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company Pilot Ahmed Adel congratulated the team, noting that this achievement is a fundamental pillar in cementing Egypt’s leadership in civil aviation both regionally and globally.

He stressed that the certification is not just another success, but a reflection of the airline’s deep commitment to safety.

This milestone aligns with the Egyptian state’s vision to maximise resources, expand market share, and attract more international clients through strong global partnerships.

Engineer Mohamed Sami, Chairman of EgyptAir Maintenance and Engineering, expressed immense pride in the technical teams, who proved their excellence before the international inspectors.

He explained that the AS9110 certification represents a strategic shift for the company, as it imposes stringent rules on risk management, technical readiness, and the strict prevention of counterfeit parts.

Furthermore, this accreditation officially places EgyptAir in the global OASIS database for maintenance providers, offering a powerful competitive advantage and opening new marketing opportunities with major airlines worldwide.
