Chairman of the EgyptAir Holding Company Yehia Zakaria witnessed the signing of an agreement to maintain and repair EgyptAir units at Honeywell.

This came during the activities of EgyptAir’s pavilion at the Dubai Airshow 2023.

Honeywell will provide EgyptAir Airlines with flat-rate component repair services for the entire 80+ A320, A330, B737, and B777 EgyptAir fleet.

Engineer Walid el-Khafif, President of EgyptAir Maintenance & Engineering Co. and Ryan Lees, president of EMEAI Aftermarket, Honeywell Aerospace, signed the agreement.

Eng. Walid el-Khafif said: “Honeywell has a long track record of being a reliable and versatile partner to airlines, and we are pleased to partner with them for component repairs across our fleet. With the cost and lead time for new aircraft only extending, it is even more vital to have a long-term agreement to repair components quickly, efficiently and effectively to reduce time off-wing. This deal will cut down on administration, lower costs and reduce complexity.”

In order to provide lower cost of ownership, faster turnaround times, and more precise cost forecasting for EgyptAir Maintenance & Engineering Co.’s component repairs, Honeywell will provide coverage for EgyptAir’s fleet.

Ryan Lees said, “EgyptAir has been a valued regional partner of Honeywell’s over the past decades, and we are pleased that our agreement can help reduce the cost and complexity of their component repairs through this new deal.”

In order to maintain Egyptair’s fleet in good working order, the deal calls for Honeywell locations to fix critical existing parts and aircraft systems, such as environmental controls, avionics, and safety systems.

“For more than 50 years, Honeywell has been a proud and dedicated contributor to Egyptian industry, and we are proud to build upon this through this agreement with EgyptAir,” Lees said.
