CAIRO – Ambassador Soha Gendy, the Assistant Foreign Minister for African Organizations, said Egypt, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, occupies a distinguished international position, particularly as it enters the New Republic.
In exclusive statements to MENA on Friday following a meeting with youth participating in the Nasser International Leadership Fellowship, which is organized by the Youth and Sports Ministry, Amb. Gendy said Egypt, during the era of President Sisi, occupies a prominent place, adding all eyes are on Egypt with its great initiatives and ideas for Africa and the whole world.
President Sisi’s initiatives are highly appreciated by the whole world, she said, noting that she felt that through her participation in African summits. President Sisi enjoys a broad vision and insight and seeks to achieve sustainable development for Egypt, Africa and the Arab world, she underlined.
Egypt is now in an advanced position and its opinion is taken on all issues, she said, expressing her happiness with the intellectual level of the Egyptian youth and participants in the Nasser International Leadership Fellowship.
She further stressed the Egyptian Foreign Ministry’s readiness to organize similar meetings.
About 150 male and female youths from 70 countries from the continents of Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America participate in the activities of the Nasser International Leadership Fellowship, the assistant foreign minister said.
She briefed the participants on Egypt’s vision towards different issues and its relations with Africa within the framework of African organizations.
She also posted them on Egypt’s visions for international cooperation, the South-South initiative, and the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the role of the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD), affiliated to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, to support Africa and Egypt’s cooperation with all African countries in all domains.
She stressed the importance of these international meetings and their role in presenting all viewpoints, bringing them closer, listening to each other and avoiding any disagreement.
