Civil Aviation Minister Sameh El-Hefny on Wednesday met with Ron Nye, President of UK-based Acron Aviation, on the sidelines of the Farnborough International Airshow 2026. The two sides discussed co-operation in flight simulation, advanced training systems and knowledge transfer.
They also reviewed Acron Aviation’s latest flight simulation and operational training solutions and explored the use of cutting-edge technologies to enhance training programmes for pilots, cabin crew and maintenance engineers.
El-Hefny said investing in human capital remains a cornerstone of the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s strategy.
He stressed that adopting the latest simulation and training technologies is essential to preparing highly skilled aviation professionals capable of operating modern aviation systems in line with international best practices.
He described the EgyptAir Training Academy as one of the region’s leading aviation training centres, adding that the ministry is keen to expand partnerships with global industry leaders to facilitate knowledge and technology transfer and modernise training programmes.
For his part, Nye reaffirmed Acron Aviation’s commitment to expanding co-operation with Egypt’s civil aviation sector. He voiced the company’s interest in boosting partnerships with both the EgyptAir Training Academy and the Egyptian Aviation Academy.
He also unveiled the company’s new corporate identity, officially launched during the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, marking Acron Aviation’s debut under its new global brand.
