Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Randa el-Menshawy met on Wednesday with Abdullah Al Sahi, Group Managing Director of UAE-based Modon Holding, to review the latest developments in the Ras El-Hekma project.
At the outset of the meeting, Menshawy said the project represents a major model of Egyptian-UAE investment and development co-operation and reflects the strength of the longstanding ties between the two countries.
She reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to providing the necessary support and maintaining close co-ordination to create a favourable environment for investment, accelerate project implementation and maximise the potential of Ras El-Hekma’s strategic location.
The meeting reviewed progress across the project’s various components, as well as the latest developments and implementation plans for the coming period.
El-Menshawy stressed the importance of closely monitoring implementation and ensuring effective co-ordination among all relevant authorities and Modon Holding, while swiftly addressing any challenges that could impede the pace of work.
During the meeting, the managing director of Modon Holding presented the latest developments in the project, reaffirming that work is progressing in line with established plans and schedules, with continued co-ordination with the relevant Egyptian authorities to accelerate implementation.
The minister of housing stressed the need to maintain close co-ordination with the company and swiftly address any developments related to construction and infrastructure works to ensure that the project continues to progress according to the targeted plan.
