CAIRO – Russian Ambassador in Cairo said his country welcomes Egyptian youths’ participation in the 20th edition of World Youth Festival 2024 in Russia as they will have a great chance to get acquainted with different cultures.
The diplomat expressed appreciation for Egyptian young people’s participation in the event, organised under Russian President Vladimir Putin’s directive to serve as a dynamic platform for global dialogue and cultural exchange.
The organising committee from Egypt comprises engineer Ahmed Barani, a member of the Presidential Program for Preparing Youth for Leadership, as head of the Egyptian Preparatory Committee; Abdullah El-Batesh, assistant minister of youth and sports, as a rapporteur; Sherif Gad, president of the Russian and Soviet Universities Alumni Association, as secretary-general; and Head of the Generation Party Nagui El-Shehabi.
Representatives of more than 187 countries are taking part in the festival.
The Festival will host 20,000 young Russian and foreign leaders in such fields as business, media, international cooperation, culture, science, education, volunteering and charity, sports and various areas of public life.
The festival includes discussions, workshops and sports activities.
